Jared Schulefand, owner and operator of Home, has worked in the restaurant business for 15 years. During that time, he had dreamed and created a concept for his first restaurant. Jared has always had a knack for making people feel at “home” and truly cares about treating everyone in his restaurant like family.
When dining, the best place to be is at home where you can enjoy freshly cooked meals, friends and family. Cooking and eating at home should be full of warmth and laughter, good food and good times. This is the atmosphere Jared has created and he wants you to share in the experience.
At the restaurant, you will find two dining atmospheres. First, you will find our “dining room”, a room surrounded by windows, skylights and pictures of our town. Second, you will find our “living loom” lounge, and bar area. Our cozy furniture in the “living room” is perfect for a cocktail, sandwich or full meal, and the bar area is not only for having a drink. Jared wants everyone to enjoy their experience wherever they decide to sit, and enjoy all the delicious food and drink we have to offer.
Here at Home, we love our beer and cocktails. There are many small, craft breweries in the Tri-State and New England areas. These breweries have created incredible, unique flavors in their beers and we want to share them with you. We also feature Connecticut, Nantucket and others American made spirits. We hope you enjoy supporting the local and small companies as much as we do. Please see our Local page for more information.
We hope here at Home you feel comfortable and comforted. Our food, created by Executive Chef Mike DiVincenzo, is always fresh and made from scratch. Chef Mike has been cooking professionally over the past 10 years in all types of kitchens, but he has always enjoyed cooking homestyle foods. With the combination of Jared and Chef Mike’s talents and experiences, they have created a homestyle menu that consists of comfort foods with a twist.
With our delicious food and comfortable atmosphere, we would like to open our door to you and welcome you Home!
